So as long as you're nice, normal, and give an effort can pretty much any girl get a bid here? Even rushing as a sophomore?

Basically everyone's guaranteed a bid, but there's a lot of stigma surrounding the bottom houses. So yes you might get a bid, but you also might not be happy where from

Regardless, I personally think each chapter has something great to offer, with amazing women within them

i went through recruitment with a upper middle house and bottom house at the end, and chose the bottom house. I'm not going to pretend tiers dont exist, but it really doesn't matter after like the first few weeks. greek life here is not as exclusive as other schools, and it isn't hard to mingle with everyone from different frats and sororities. i have friends from all kinds of houses, and we all respect each other. some frats dont mix with us, but who cares? no one is missing out
