DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT BE MEAN TO ACTIVES.
Even if you think you really don't want to be in a chapter, do not be mean to actives! It will in no way help you get the chapter that you want, and they likely have friends in the chapters you do want and if you're really terrible other chapters can and will find out. At least pretend to be interested in your conversation with actives, and most of all do NOT tell an active that you're not interested in a bid from their chapter because "you're getting bid from ABC chapter" because some WILL tell their friends in that chapter and you could get dropped. Just be nice and have a good time! Good luck!

Happened at dg last year with a girl saying "I'm getting a bid from kappa," and guess what? Girl got the bid to her third choice. Lol. Don't be stupid. Girls talk, and they're friends with other women

It's okay to be honest and say "I'm torn between houses," and "I'm not sure if this is the right house for me," but don't be nasty and rude.

Remember you're not inherently "cooler" or "better" than people just cause they're in a chapter that is "lower".

And remember, one word answers are still being rude! Chances are the active knows you wouldn't fit there and just wants to get through the conversation so help her.

Similarly, MANY chapter's nationals have rules in place that require that they drop girls who have been reported rude to other chapters by panhel.
