pike american flag

Serious question from an upcoming sorority pledge...why did Pike have that giant American flag up in front of their house? And also, why did they take it down? Did someone make them do it, did something happen, what's up?

not sure why they put it up but I heard they took it down because they had to keep the windows open to keep it up and it was getting cold

They always put the giant flag up, its PR for a bar event in the fall. Also the election maybe?
