I'd be fine with it as long as they kept gphi in the same tier as pi phi and zeta

Kappa doesn't either but that doesn't change the fact that they have a low retention rate. Cob doesn't determine tier. Some chapters have nationals that really want to do cob often. Others don't, even in schools where they are bottom chapters.

look at the grade reports, piphi and kappa have 3rd and 2nd highest membership numbers and neither of them cob. low retention statement is just not true. gamma phi, achio, chio and tridelt are lowest

if you look at the grade reports for the ENTIRE year and not just ONE quarter, you'll see kappa loses about 10 girls each year (most of those being incoming seniors). Most solid sororities, like Delta Gamma and Alpha Phi lose about 2-4 girls. Theta lost half of their junior pledge class (now seniors), so they have a pretty poor retention rate. Zeta and Gphi have low retention rates, but they make up for it through COB. Alpha Chi and Chi O have very poor class totals. You also have to look at all four years since houses make up four pledge classes. I wouldn't call Kappa the "worst" in terms of retention, but they're definitely in the mid-range.

spring quarter grade reports have less seniors across the board because girls who graduate early aren't counted -- fall 2015 is a more accurate measure for retention since ppl rarely graduate that early

on here zeta has the most girls (they cob), then pi phi (doesn't cob), then theta and dg tied-dg does cob, and I'm assuming theta doesn't but don't know for a fact

The decrease in seniors was shown in the fall.

Aphi cob last year and took one quota addition. Any house will cob, Aphi and DG do it on the low though

cob is a pretty poor indicator since most houses qualify for cob in the fall and many don't do it. it's also weird that zeta cobs so much since they have such big pledge classes and a large chapter, but i'm assuming its because nationals forces them to. dz and kd dont usually cob and they're bottom tier. cob is determined by the chapter and nationals. no one has to cob if they don't want to, but some do.

Pretty much any house below top tier can and will cob if they want, so it's not a great indication of rank
