is with all this talk about "old money?" There are wealthy people at northwestern, yes. This isn't the south. There isn't one house at Northwestern with an established "old money" tradition. Period. Furthermore, every house at NU is strong nationally; we don't have any of the smaller or lesser known houses that bigger schools tend to have. And also, every house has girls who are well-off AND girls who are on financial aid. So calm down.

money doesn't have to show off. Kappa's certainly do. Look, they're a good house here and have been for a long time, usually ranked somewhere between 1 and 3 depending on who you ask. But they could do well to up the class. There are well-off girls in every sorority (this is northwestern), but Kappa would do well to up their drunken displays. There's nothing "old money" or enviable" about that.
