They have a reputation for being mellow and they aren't really crazy partiers but definitely nice really pretty girls who are involved in everything on campus

Very average or below house. Some awkward girls; good grades. This house is a shock to Chi O"s from other chapters--not up to Chi O standards! Hard for them to be picky and still take quota or fill the house. In the basement, and not climbing out anytime soon.

So here it is--Kappa was and is a top house here and will be for years to come. They are old, well-known, and wealthy. Many prominent alumnae--great reputation nationally. Some years may have a little better pledge classes, but Kappa at Northwestern is a classy, old-money house that is highly desirable. Anyone who says otherwise is jealous or engaging in wishful thinking.

Wanting to be in the top 3 does not make it so. Averge group that is slightly on the rise, but does not have the old money or alumnae or backing to go head-to-head with Kappa or Theta or Tri Delt. May improve, but will not crack top tier for years and years.

Get real. An average house that is working their way up. Not at all competetive with the top houses. Decent girls and grades, but nothing special. In spite of what they want people to believe, they are bottom middle at best--decent rush this year, but that does not make them top 5 or 6.

money doesn't have to show off. Kappa's certainly do. Look, they're a good house here and have been for a long time, usually ranked somewhere between 1 and 3 depending on who you ask. But they could do well to up the class. There are well-off girls in every sorority (this is northwestern), but Kappa would do well to up their drunken displays. There's nothing "old money" or enviable" about that.
