What's Hot - Princeton University - PU
By: Real TalkPosted:
Pi Phi's title of the "hot" sorority really rests on just a few girls. Even with this new pledge class, the level of looks dramatically falls off after the top bunch. They don't have many sisterhood events, and a lot of the girls are only cursorily involved in campus. This is the home of fake social climbers who are obsessed with getting into Ivy and Cottage, and everyone knows it.

KAO continues to slip with its most recent pledge class. While some of the girls are fun and attractive, many of them are not particularly cute. Another problem is that lot of Thetas join in large groups of existing friends and don't make new friends within the sorority. Thetas perpetually try to make Greek Life way too much of a thing than it is at Princeton, and this "try hard" / stuck-up attitude turns many in the community off from them.

Best sorority on campus to be honest.

Nice/cute girls but they need to rethink the way they select their members. There are a few girls who put in a lot of work. There are also a lot of girls who don't attend most of the events/parties. This makes them look bad with the fraternities. Kappa needs to select more committed girls after rushing.

They are considered the "pretty" sorority on campus. This stereotype used to be more true two years ago. Newer girls are decent but overall not as hot as the recent grad. Overall, theta is a fun/inclusive sorority but they do have some stuff to work on. For example, they actively think that they're the hottest sorority on campus and act kinda stuck up because of this. There are also a few girls who use the sorority to social climb (usually to get into TI).

Pi Phi is probably the most fun sorority at Princeton. I'm a recent male grad who had the chance to go to several events organized by the sororities on campus. I always enjoyed getting invited to Pi Phi events because I knew I would have a great time. Only downside about Pi Phi is that they are very clicky and tend to be obsessed with getting into certain eating clubs (Ivy + Cottage). This isn't necessarily a bad thing but it is something that they need to work on.

Pi phi is easily the best (of a whopping 3) sorority at Princeton as they are less superficial, cliquey, and mind-numbing than thetas but more social and fun than kappas. They are also much more racially diverse than theta and don't seem to define beauty (there is definitely a standard set) as white and blonde

If you actually want to be in a sorority because of the lifelong sisterhood, networking, etc. benefits that it provides, Kappa is the one. The girls are genuinely kind and actually participate in the Princeton community. Most of them, especially in this new pledge class, are honestly just as cute as the majority of the Thetas and Pi Phis. The "problem" is that Kappa does take some not-so-great-looking girls, who bring the rest of them down. But is lack of superficiality really a bad thing?
