why do some greek org's have summer recruitment
by: CuriousHey so I am thinking of joining a sorority and I noticed on Instagram that some Greek Orgs like Delta Psi Delta are doing summer recruitment (I think I saw another one too but maybe I'm wrong) and I was wondering why not all the sororities are doing it? Is there a benifit to rushing in the fall versus summer? I just missed out on joining this year and I wanted to know if anyone could give me advice!

It's pretty rare that an org puts on summer rush, and it usually means they're trying to up their numbers before fall rush. Maybe a bunch of their seniors graduated, maybe a bunch of girls dropped their letters. I personally don't know the specific reason why DPsiD is doing it. But you don't get the same experience as a fall pledge would, and your choices are more limited - you could only rush DPsiD. I wouldn't recommend it.
