is panhel ever happening?
by: WonderingCan it happen at some point please? Heard nu sig is no longer interested, does that mean no panhel at uottawa? Why is it always being stalled

Until APhi and Tri Delta actually start to get along and agree on basic things (like quota and values-based Panhellenic recruitment), it won't happen. It's a real shame because Theta is getting screwed in the process - no NPC will come to a campus with 2 international organizations who can't get it together to form a Panhellenic council.

That’s not even true, KKG was not open to expansion at the time along with many other PHA orgs, they were never “in talks” with them. APhi/KZP was approached by APhi, Phi Sig and DPhie, nothing ever took place with KKG... just facts.

no only two are needed. When a second org comes to a campus that already has an npc they must form a panhel

If you have 3 npc's on campus you MUST have a panhel but if you have two you have the option, this is why not npc will colonized with theta because unless npc nationals sees a working panhel, if a third organization came to campus they can't exactly force the other two organizations into forming a panhel - just not how it works. There must be a fully functioning Panhellenic before the third organizations can come to campus other nationals will think the colony will fail

Ok so I'm not really entirely sure how forming panhel would work but knowing how ours runs makes me believe it is a very long process, I'm sure there are many bylaws to be voted on to figure out how things are going to run, it's like founding another organization so please give them time

It doesnt seem like theyre even trying to do it though. Im not in either but i know that not having panhel is hurting and will continue to hurt everyones recruitment numbers. it basically almost forces pnms to rush locals or randoms (like kappa beta whatever) because theyre the most visible. Is it even on its way? Heres hoping

APhi isn’t hurting and tridelt doesn’t want the competition, they didn’t even want APhi on campus because being “international” was their only schtick

Exactly, yet people are still out here wondering why aphi hasn't put in all of this work to make panhel a thing...

I know theta was formed with the intention of one day being colonized, did they attempt the process and were rejected because of alpha phi? Who was interested in them?
