kbg vs zoe

by:

So now that Kappa Beta Gamma was chartered, how will they differentiate themselves from ZOE? Will ZOE continue to pursue becoming an international? Will KBG help APhi and TriDelt create a Panhel? Discuss!

KBG isn't Panhellenic, if they make it in with tridelt and aphi they should consider themselves lucky LOL

KGB is going to crash and burn anyways so no discussion necessary.

I can't answer the question about differentiation since I don't know the internal workings of KBG, but I can tell you that the remaining sisters of ZOE will very likely not be pursing going international. The girls who wanted to be international left to form KBG, the girls who wanted to stay local stayed ZOE. Also, as has been said, since KBG isn't panhellenic it's very unlikely they will form a panhel with TriDelt and APhi, but I know that was something they were hoping for. My guess is that it's something you'll push for but ultimately won't happen, but again since I don't know the internal workings of KBG I can't say this definitively.

On most campuses where they have a panhel, KGB normally is on their panhel - if tridelt and aphi form one I can definitely see kbg petitioning them to get on panhel and I'd assume they would accept since more organizations on panhel would make them stronger

^ I wouldn't say more orgs on panhel make it stronger. KBG is not Panhel, therefore they would be affiliate members (not full membership obviously). The only reason it would benefit KBG is for recruitment numbers and quota. The only reason it would benefit tri delt and aphi is so KBG can take the girls they don't want during recruitment... It's exactly what happened on Carleton's campus with kdb. They got the girls the panhel orgs didn't want lmao.

It would put KBG at a massive disadvantage, being compared to two incredibly successful panhel orgs during recruitment.

Good point but in general more variety probably would spark more interest

Also, to clarify, the girls on the ZOE end of this don't want to form some kind of feud between the two organizations, but it keeps getting painted that way anyways. Although the split was rough and some personal relationships were definitely affected, on the whole these girls were our sisters and always will be in some capacity, and as much as their leaving left our organization in a really bad spot in many ways, we don't actively wish bad things on them. Many of the girls in KBG and ZOE are still close friends, and this image of "ZOE vs KBG" isn't nearly as dramatic as everyone seems to think it is. Some girls wanted to be international, other girls wanted to be local, so we split and now everyone is where they're happiest. It's literally that simple.
