alternative to frats

I've had enough of this spirit group nonsense. Your social life is up to you. Greek life puts you in positions to have the fullest college social life experience. My god this is Austin Texas there are events every week around this town. You can bea FIJI and have no social life or a silver spur and have a calendar full of events. It's up to you!!!! But as has been stated numerous times spirit groups are not I repeate NOT centered around social life. Although you will no doubt meet people you just won't be able to party at a mansion and have really bad a events. If you cannot join a frat then by all means yes join a spirit group because it will get you in touch with many students.

UT is a fun school for all of those students who are not greek or in spirit groups....it's called 'just meeting people and going out'. PLUS you can join groups associated with your major and have tons of fun.

Why are you on here???

how about this: grow up, fire up and create your own college fun?! Wow! Do you really need an established group to enjoy the University?? JEEEESHshshsh

listen...those bottom frats like Acacia, etc have a great time...they might be less attractive and/or not "wealthy", but they still have money for a frat, have mixers, semi-formals, Round Up parties, etc. Stop putting those guys down. They have a long history at Texas and have crazy fun like FIJI and SAE, etc.
