transfer (initiated)

by: :(

Hey I was initiated but my fraternity doesn't have a chapter @ UT. What options do I have in terms of greek life? I really enjoy the brotherhood in my fraternity and was hoping there's a way to have the same @ UT.

We don't have a chapter there. My question is if some fraternities have "social members" or take disaffiliated brothers.

It's a standard part of most initiation rituals that you pledge not to join another fraternity. Some chapters take it pretty seriously and won't let you, others probably don't dare. KA pledged an initiated (later dropped) Pi Kapp last year so it happens.

Yeh I'm aware of ritual but I've heard of people disaffiliating and rejoining. Thanks for the advice.

I bet you some of the smaller fraternities won't care. I've know of it happening before, like 'Meh' said. Sororities are super diligent about checking affiliations and national registrations, etc., but I bet you some fraternities are not as on top of their game with that or just don't care. However don't expect to rush Fiji or SAE. :/ I'm talking newer or smaller frats.

Yeh I'll figure this ish out thanks! Yeh I'm not concerned with the rep of the fraternity really, more so about the quality of guys internally.

Rush KA. They have a history of knowingly taking guys initiated into other fraternities.
