kd and axid

by: howdy

Why does everyone hate on them? If you compare photos of girls from all the UT chapters, they don't look that different from each other. There are some unfortunate looking Pi Phis but everyone is up their butts b'cuz tradition yo! lol

KD and AXD are the newest sororities on campus, 1963 AXD and 1981 for KD so they get a lot of flack and the older groups talk a lot about tradition. They aren't terrible although AXD misses quota once in a while. It's almost impossible to move up at UT.

ok....that does make some sense. I didn't know the were that 'young' at Texas. I think they are nice girls but yeah, I see how the new chapters get rated low.

Being low, does not equate with being bad. There is a lovely girl I have gotten to know from one of my classes that is AXD. Super smart. Her dad lives here in Austin but she's from elsewhere and had no connections. She didn't like it at first, but has really grown to enjoy it. Part of not liking it was she liked houses she didn't get and has come to enjoy it and like the girls.

The KD chapter at UT was founded in 1921. It closed during the Great Depression in 1934 than recolonized in 1981.
The AXiD chapter at UT was founded in 1929. It closed in 1943 and recolonized in 1963.
So they both have a little more history at UT than just their "recent" years. (Only at UT would 35+ years be considered recent.)

So the older continuous houses have a leg up. Makes sense but nice girls in all houses.
