how hard is it to get a bid from a top sorority if you're from out of state/the north? i'm from the d.c. area and even though i feel at home in the south etc. i want to know what to expect. also, how important is it to have recommendation letters? and is it important to be super religious?

Focus on getting recs or letters of support, so the chapters can know about you early on... be open to your options

It doesn't freaking matter! Unless you're going to go into recruitment as a sophomore, living in Hardin will do you no good whatsoever in building connections.

Your only hope is to be really attractive and personable; also have a rich family for some chapters, and have amazing letters sent for you long before recruitment starts.
