letter of rec

Just wondering how important recommendation letters are for each sorority? And how many will I need?

You will get dropped immediately from almost every house if you don't have one for that house. You 100% need at least one for each house but two to three is better. They should be from people who actually know you not generic ones you get through strangers in Panhellenics. Get started making connections for them now.

for me it really wasn't important, but i can't say the same for others

I had kappa and theta on pref night and I had no letters for either one, and no connections to either house

depends on how personable you are during rush imo

you don't know that though. a lot of pnm's have letters and they have no idea they have them. alums send them in on their behalf without even telling them. @truth is right. most houses will drop you after open house round if you don't have a los or recommendation. why would you even chance it?

Get to work on them EARLY. Then it won't be a big issue to obtain them all. Everyone knows someone that can write you a rec if you are a good candidate.
