best fraternities for spring rush (except delt)

What are the best places for spring rush? I'm a sophomore this year and just got my parent's permission to join a fraternity. Also would it be better to join in spring or wait next year till fall? I just feel I'll be too old by then

I have a few connections to sigep but I didn't go to their events too much so I'm not too well regarded by their rush guys. But I have a few friends in there. Otherwise I'm open to any house that's relevant. Except for pike ato and phi psi, I've heard too many negative things about these three.

That honestly leaves you with not too many options. The ones that come to mind that are relevant are sammy (I dont even know if they spring rush), phi delt, and pi kapp (on the rise to relevancy). Not the best options, but yeah

Of the remaining houses I'd probably say rush DKE. They got some solid dudes, small but from what I hear they have a decent social scene

DKE has a house, but it's way out by Delt and Pi Kapp and even more out of the way than either

DKE is no longer located in the house behind Delt. They are occupying the former lambda chi house on west campus.

Your best options for spring rush are Delt, Pike, and maybe sammy. A lot of fraternities here don't do spring rush, and while you may be fine with pledging as a junior, I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Otherwise just go to some events this fall and see who you like.

I have no idea why the OP said "except Delt". They're a pretty solid middle tier house, and have cute, fun, smart, involved guys. We really like Delt!

Delt looks good from the outside, but it's actually quite bad and a good number of the guys are weird/and/or don't know how to handle themselves. I know several guys who are on the "normal" side of Delt and hate watching what the chapter has become.
