is it socially acceptable to stay home from ou?
by: froshI'm going to have too much to do that weekend, and it's not like I'll miss "important experiences," which I've heard more often entail regrettable ratchet ones. I can't afford to get behind because I actually give a rat's a$s about my first semester. Are you required to go if you're in a sorority, or can you opt out?

Just stay home and pour a pitcher of beer over your head. Same experience.
Really though if you don't want to go you won't be the only one. Take a few hours off from studying on game day and stop by your chapter house for the game at least. I bet there will be some people watching it there if you have a big screen.
Wait til soph or junior year if you're that worried about studying. You're right that one weekend can throw you off.
