panhel changing from los to recs?

I've heard this too. And you're right, Panhel can't tell any of us how to conduct MS in our own groups, but if Panhel as a whole votes to move from LOS to the rec form system, then that's what will happen. I know a lot of SEC schools who have had a lot of Texas girls enroll there had their Panhels vote not to accept LOS because they are used to operating with the rec form system, and they make sure to include this in their recruitment guides so the Texas girls will know and it won't hurt their rush. So if we want to keep our current LOS system in place, we need to let our Panhel delegates know.

Since this is an internal chapter policy, we can do what we want no matter how many votes Panhellenic puts it up to. So yeah, they can vote but they can't force us to do it. That's going to make things even messier.

You are either so outstanding and were so desirable to various sororities that they overlooked the fact that you had mostly recs (and very few LOS) sent in, or you were just extremely! lucky, or both.

I had a camp connection here and am good with people. Guess that's why. But do most girls get cut first round if their letters are in the form of recs instead of LOS?

LOS= letters of support. They're just handwritten notes from alumnae from their respective groups that detail why you would be a good sister and an asset to their organization. They're different from rec forms (the standard forms found on each sorority's website recommending you for membership).

I'm not the OP but my big is our Panhel delegate and she told me and a few other sisters that Panhel is considering doing this bc pretty much every other competitive Greek school uses rec forms, and we've gotten a lot of complaints from other people about the current LOS system because they think it's outdated. Panhel is going to put it up to a vote during their next meeting, supposedly.
