I really think that Bama has nothing to laugh about....Texas is in a different academic class all the way around so Bama rush versus UT rush are apples and oranges. Bama gives full rides to decent students, as they are trying to improve their academic standing.

Interesting comparing academic standards since (from what I've read) all PKT girls care about after UT is Junior League or Slipper. So glad that 'stellar' education...cough cough....is put to good use.

Don't forget that bama's pledge classes are 2x the size of ut's even tho the college is smaller. So it's kind of silly to brag about placement rates. And yeah -- there are kids that got offered full rides to alabama who couldn't get into UT until their sophomore year. So enjoy feeling superior over Greek Rank and yes -- to anticipate the probable rejoinder -- football. But then unlike Tuscaloosa, UT has a lot more to do on the weekend than go worship at the Bear Bryant Temple.

And I assume you're saying all the PK girls at bama go on to graduate school and long careers? There are 1980s throwbacks in both Greek systems, I'm sure.

So funny y'all getting defensive about your school. Sad you can't laugh with the rest of the southern schools about how ridiculous the camp, PKT, JL posts are. No one ever said Bama was more academic or better in anyway although you obviously feel threatened. Lighten up.

We had 2500 girls go through Rush. Did you guys even have 1600? I got into Texas but yes, I am very glad I used my full ride to Alabama! Let me guess, you are undeclared, in education, or liberal arts? Seems that is how most get in, even the guys!

These threads have now been seen by Georgia girls, Ole Miss girls, and Bama girls. Apparently it's gotten around at SEC schools, probably because of the Theta thing and then they started looking at the camp, PKT moms etc threads. But UGA=Georgia and Hotty Toddy=Ole Miss, so obviously it's not just Bama. Maybe we should take a look at their 3 schools pages? Lol

Haha. Thank you for proving my point. Guess what? The top 10% the backwoods "nobody" high schools with senior classes of 12 get auto admitted to UT. The top 10% of the urban "ghetto" high schools with senior classes of 600 get auto admitted to UT. And so on and so forth. So yeah, the top 10% thing isn't really something to brag about!!!
