seeking deserved answers
by: PKT alumna
I am a very involved PKT alumna- I won't say which chapter for privacy reasons, but I have served as a Chapter Advisor to many Chapters, as a Regional Officer, and even a National Officer, in addition to being a past President of my Alumna Association. I'm keeping these terms general to avoid identifying my GLO. I have also given VERY generous financial support.
My drop dead gorgeous, 4.0, Homecoming Queen, cheer captain, very involved in school and volunteering in the community, polished appearance/fashionable, bubbly, outstanding in every way daughter (who had multiple recs to ALL Chapters) was dropped not only by my GLO, but several others. She ended up in a "less desirable" group. She seems very happy and "loves" her new "sisters", but I am infuriated that all of the time, effort, and dedication to my group was not appreciated. I have been in contact with Nationals, and they said that she should have received a Bid to my house, since she was overly qualified and because of my extensive involvement with my group. So I would like to know-why do you "ladies" blatantly turn your back on such wonderful legacies? I am here seeking answers, and I feel I have a right to know.

If you feel that you have a right to know, then call the chapter! Then again, for the sake of your daughters dignity, don't call them and out not only yourself yourself but your daughter as well.
It's not all about 4.0s and involvement! The bottom line is, if she didn't fit in, she wouldn't get a bid!!!!! But with credentials like that, I'm wondering what the reason was that she was dropped from SEVERAL organizations. I'm sure your daughter is a great girl, but maybe there is a reputation issue you didn't know about? Maybe she expressed openly that she "knew" she was going to join your org, therefore other orgs dropped her, and your org didn't really like her attitude, therefore they dropped her as well? There are a million different reasons that she could've been dropped, and no one on Greek Rank can give you a reason! Especially without knowing exactly which sorority you are even talking about in the first place because I'm sure that multiple PKT legacies got dropped and joined another house. But whatever you do, do NOT out your house. Just accept that this happened, and drop it! She doesn't need your organization to be happy! Just because your org was perfect for you doesn't mean it's perfect for her. You may realize through this that her new "less desired" house is really amazing.
If she is happy where she is, then LET IT GO!! It's not your experience. You've already had yours. Let her have hers in her own organization.

I can't tell if this post is real or not because the bragging about the accomplishments is ridiculous. Most ut girls are smart, accomplished and extraordinary. And all the sororities have beautiful accomplished women. So if it is true just be happy that you'd daughter is in the school she wants to be in and likes her new sorority.

Come on. This is so obviously a troll. Get on a competitive college GR site. Check. Pretend to be a pnm or mom who is upset they/their daughter didn't get into a "top house". Check. Bash the "lower house/s" Check. Post as someone else vouching that you know her/the mom and that "it's all true!" First you have the Alabama ppm post, tthen the disappointed UT mom, and now this. Really?? Stop feeding the troll.

Unless her definition of "national officer" is "poured punch at convention in 1982."
