You should have worried about that before you sent in your recs and registration. It's a little late now.

I mean I don't care, I've had a great recruitment up till now. Most of my social media is public. I was just wondering if y'all are that creepy when it comes to getting info on girls. As in, do you go just based on like friendship with people/knowing them and what they sent in on that registration thing/pictures and recs - all the normal stuff, or do y'all do more?

Of course they do! Some houses have a "committee" that does this, and some houses just divide the PNMs between actives. But yes, they will google you, and look at your FB, Twitter, tumblr, Instagram etc. this is to be sure that there isn't something houses would like to/need to know about that you obviously wouldn't share in your recruitment app/during recruitment.

oh my gosh, how? Is it like for all 1400-1500 pnms??!!!! Even the people you don't care about and know you won't bid? But how?

What "yep" said is true. Some houses will indeed look up all 1400-1500 PNMs, but the more selective houses will just check the girls they know they're interested in just to make sure that there aren't any "skeletons in their closets", so to speak. But yes, houses have committes in charge of doing this throughout the spring/summer, and others just take the list and divide it up among the actives. It sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but remember that there are hundreds of actives in the houses, so that makes things a little easier.

Not only do they google you but they give you a "pre-score" which is a score based on your social media and resume with consideration for legacy status or strong in house connections.
