by: Enough alreadyIn case anyone on the Camp thread has noticed, it's Recruitment Week. Can we just all agree that camp was great for a lot of girls, and Europe was great for a lot of girls, and the girls who every summer went to camp, then Europe, then their ranch in Colorado REALLY had it great??! And that the price of the camp MAYBE had nothing to do with the quality of the experience? And that it will be interesting to talk to those OOS girls who had internships during high school? And that the social skills learned and the friendships made in ALL of the above experiences will have value beyond college, and I'm not talking about the husband-hunting lottery?

Great families have lasting power because future generations have something to positive to contribute. They fall faster than Rome, however, when wastes of air like you bring them down from sheer entitlement. This is the start of a great, great fall for you. Your attitude is horrible and I hope to god you get help before karma kicks your ass. What a failure on the part of your parents.

I would hope that table manners would be a part of any sleep-away camp experience. It makes the camp experience nicer for all concerned. Table manners were also emphasized at the New England Girl Scout camp where I worked on the waterfront. It's not just a Texas thing. If you look at the Waldemar list, it includes ordinary things like no elbows on the table, chew with your mouth closed, etc. -- just things that contribute to a pleasant dining experience for everyone.
