how is Sigma Chi considered 'above' KA when there aren't as many guys from exclusive Texas families in it? I can see how it's doing waaaay better than KA, but this still baffles me. I'm obviously not a guy here, so I don't know the specifics.

KA is struggling socially since they had a few years with very small pledge classes that weren't allowed to mix with a lot of sororities... Also them not being KA made the majority of their type of guys go to kappa sig. Once they're no longer half omicron im sure they'll move ahead of sigma chi. Their incoming sophomores are better than sigma chis and their next pledge class will probably be at least on par
