during rush should i say i went to boarding school
by: rushI went to boarding school for HS. Obviously if asked I wouldn't lie about it but should I try not to bring it up? Not sure how boarding school is viewed at UT. thx

Frankly, if you went to boarding school, most of us are going to think that you had a serious eating disorder or addiction. At best people will look at you as someone who thinks she's too good to go to school in town or someone who has a really dysfunctional family. Not to mention that most of your BS classmates probably went to ivys and you didn't, so there's probably something wrong with you.

My brother went to a "prestigious" boarding school, but really, he was sent away because my parents thought that would straighten him out.
Idk what your situation is, but I'm sure you'll be fine. Just don't mention the school. On the other hand, a lot of people will find it cool :) not to worry
