KD is mid-tier, nothing wrong with it except that it is not PKT, which for a certain social set (from Camp Mystic, Longhorn, or Waldemar or those who went to Memorial, Highland Park, Alamo Heights, or Austin High) would be damning. KD often has the highest GPA of all the houses at UT. If you are transferring, affiliating will give you a niche. I think it is better to be in a lower-status GLO at UT than to be independent. You can always disaffiliate later.
