pledgeship legitimate reason for not going with th

Is a tough pledge-ship a legitimate reason to skip going to houses like KA and ATO?

I ask because I could fit in other fraternities but like one of these houses more. I don't know if I should decline the bid because the hazing would be too intense, even if this is a first choice house.

Man up and decide for yourself.

I have not idea why anyone would think a hard pledgeship would be worth getting into either of these two mediocre fraternities.
