How important are letters of rec for rush? Will a house pay more attention to a girl with rec letters versus someone with none?

get them for every house. Get specially written ones from closely connected Panhellenics, or alumni who are friends of yours from GOOD chapters for the ones you're more interested in. Letters of support also help. Ask the old timers on greekchat

if you don't have at least one letter or recommendation, almost every house will drop you after first round. they are necessary.
