Yea, I'm not going to lie... it's pretty scary especially for girls who come in not knowing what they're getitng into and all the connections/politics involved with greek life at Texas. I'm in a sorority, and I sitll think it's pretty scary for girls going through rush. I would say that if you don't have VERY good friends in sororities from Waldemar or wherever you are from and being in a sorority or at least a "top" sorority is very imortant to you, then you should reconsider your school choice. I'm not saying you should EVER choose a school just because of how difficult their rush is but if it's REALLY important to you, and you will be upset if you don't get what you want, then you should look at other schools where rush is a lot easier but the Greek system is sitll great (which is a TON of schools). Texas rush is known as being one of the most competitive, cutthroat, political recruitments? so yea it is pretty scary!

Being a Pi Phi legacy will help you, but only so much? Pi Phi is one of the top sororities and heavily choose girls who are either really heavy legacies or have connections? almost all those girls are the wealthy, big-name high school, Hardin house girls. Living in Hardin house isn't going to help you, it's just that typically girls who Pi Phi, Kappa, Theta, and al the other Big 6 sororities want typically live in Hardin.

Yes, they do judge them. But, the only ones judging are the greeks. I'd say in frats it's Fiji, SAE, Sig Ep, ATO, Delt, KA judging. W/sororities it's XO, ZTA, Pi Phi, AXO, TriDelt, Theta, DG and Kappa judging. That's because they all only deal w/one another and think they're better than gdi's.
