If you want to feel you never left high school, Theta or Pi Phi are your best bet. They all end up with those they've already known before, and never experience anything outside of that realm. Any sorority with a mixture is best, as to not have the depth for exposure to things new and different, is really a negative. In other words, it's as though some have never left high school, and it's really sad. They all party with the same people over and over and can't cope with anything that deviates from their isolated routine.

god DG nobody cares that yal have a good gpa mix. all this proves is that yal never go out, majority have jokes for majors, and/or like to sleep with your teachers. personally, i bet its all of the above.

Why don't we have a DZ chapter at Texas? I think its kinda odd that we have all the other largest national chapters (according to this site), but not them. It just seems weird to me.

I was told DZ was around until the late 70?s or early 80?s. However, their numbers were getting smaller and smaller at that time. They never seemed to be able to get good girls or very many girls at rush period. They tried and tried but finally, they did fold. Currently, though, they are at many smaller schools, and they have so much pride and are really good. A&M still has DZ, and I think they?re going pretty strong there too. (I hate to sound like everyone else on this site, but they are not very good there from what is said). But, now you know they folded. I MAY be wrong, but I think Kappa Delta is in their old house. If anyone knows differently feel free to correct me.

Yes below, you are correct. The last time my mom was in town we were on that street. She pointed to the Kappa Delta house and said that it used to be DZ's house.

does anyone know why gamma phi beta left (I think it was in the '80's)? I heard it wasn't because of #'s...but I can't seem to get a straight answer as to what they did to get kicked off? Also, where were they in terms of rank?

Everybody has unflattering nicknames. I remember Gamma Phi as solidly middle tier.

my mom was on the internationals committee that closed the chapter... she said it was giving a poor representation of the sorority in texas
