is easily the best of the 3 in the South. Pi Phi is the largest by a little bit I think, and Kappa and Theta are roughly the same size and something like the 10th and 11th largest overall. PKT is mostly just a Texas thing, but it also kind of applies to the fact that these 3 are the most common and often top tier at a lot of prestigious academic universities. It doesn't apply everywhere by any means. Theta is fairly weak in the South outside top academic universities and is rock bottom at schools like Bama and LSU. Pi Phi is pretty middle tier in the region outside of Texas and a few other states, and Kappa is really the only one that's a powerhouse in this region overall (and still not to the extent of Tri Delt, KD, and XO).

Kappa and Tridelt are strongest nationally but pi phi and Theta are on the same level nationality as the other top groups: dg, XO, ZTA, Adpi, KD

All 3 are strong nationally. Theta is 4th nationally in largest amount of members according to Greek Rank. Pi Phi and KKG are not in the top 10. However, the difference between these 3 and the others is that they are more selective about the institutions they allow chapters at. They are very strong in the Ivy League and higher tier institutions.

Based on money and exclusivity - which is what these girls mainly look for anyway - the rankings are in order of the letters:
1. Pi Phi
2. Kappa
3. Theta
Pi Phi is consistently at the top, along with Kappa and Theta. I don't hear much about the Kappas. I know a few Pi Phis and all are really nice. PC 14 was much more diverse, with girls taken from all over Texas. I had a friend that got a bid and she knew nothing about sororities going into recruitment. Many of the Kappas I know are statuesque beauties. Pretty classy girls, with a combination of intelligence and good social skills. I don't know any Thetas, so I can't speak about them as much.

If you really knew about Edgewater, you'd probably be surprised who was actually there. Now, Kappa has closed the fewest chapters. Theta is strong nationally. However, PiPhi is not what is was 50 or 100 years ago. Still strong but more on the level of XO, DG,DDD,ADPI,ZTA, KD

Theta has the most chapters at Ivy Leagues, followed by Kappa
Kappa has the most chapters at the top private and public schools, followed by Theta
Kappa is strong in every every region
Theta and Kappa are the only sororities on campus at both Harvard and Yale
Theta and Kappa have the largest foundations of any NPC
Kappa has closed the fewest chapters of any NPC

1) Theta isn't that great nationally
2) Kappa doesn't have that many chapters
3) Pi Phi is probably deserving of top 3 status
