rush
by: FishHow does one go about getting involved with UT's exclusive fraternity rush scene?

I go to Ole Miss. I am on the UT boards because my little sister goes here and I wanted to know the unofficial house rankings. Anyways, It is EXTREMELY hard to get a bid from a top house at Ole Miss. If you are not from the deep South, good luck....you are already going to be in bottom tier. You have to know several actives to get into a top house...best you can get is middle, if you're a nobody, and even that's pushing it. We have "bad" houses at Ole Miss but honestly, when you have over 350 people in a frat/sorority it is hard to have a distinguished stereotype between houses. We are working on making our greek system bigger because it has gotten out of hand. Also, Ole Miss was not hard to get into when I applied....I went on scholarship, but now it has gotten harder. In the past few years, Ole Miss has received a lot of media attention, which has encouraged a new pool of applicants. We have the second best Honor's college in the United States (seriously, look it up) so there's a huge academic range of students on campus.... Not selling Ole Miss just clearing up any confusion about Ole Miss being a safety school. I guess compared to UT though, which is one of the hardest schools to get into, it is a safety school hahaha.

Takes like 100 man fraternity pledge classes and the school is easier to get into than Tech, they aren't that exclusive.
