Wranglers are nowhere near Cowboys or Silver Spurs, and probably nver will be. You kinda just join Wranglers and work out with them. As far as I know, they don't have a vast alumni association like Cowboys and Spurs. Cowboys and Spurs are extremely selective. You have to have a high GPA and go through a relatively arduous application and interview process. They also have way harder hazing. Most guys in Cowboys and Spurs are leaders in their fraternities or other organizations already. I'm sure that Wranglers are great for making friends or getting in shape (I can't really say as I'm not one), but Cowboys are Silver Spurs have been two of the most prestigious organizations at UT for an extremely long time and will probably continue to be so. Again, I'm not trying to knock Wranglers, just stating the facts.

They're not close. Spurs or Cowboys are viewed as prestigious, elite organizations. Wranglers simply aren't. Pretty much anyone can join, they prefer guys that were athletes in high school and look like they're in good shape, but they'll still take oddballs and just weed 'em out through the workouts. I'd say Iron Spikes are a little more prestigious than Wranglers as well, I think that's a majority opinion.

Wranglers will always be that group full of dudes that work out. They're not going to be an organization with "power" like Cowboys are. Besides, Wranglers and Cowboys/Spurs aren't mutually exclusive. I'm pretty sure there's at least one Wrangler in Cowboys.

Cowboys didn’t kill anybody. Not wearing a seatbelt, a decision made by the cowboy himself, is what got him killed. And oh by the way, he himself perpetuated hazing, too. Let’s not forget that.
