Careful what you brag about, ADPi. AZD clearly has their own set of challenges, but I wouldn't be so quick to brag about being a "most preffed house" since that just means you are obviously required to invite more girls to your pref party in order to have a prayer of making quota. If you need to invite so many that it makes you a "most preffed house", it just means that you have to go through a LOT of girls in bid matching before enough of them say yes to ADPi! DUH! Think about it. And then maybe try to be a little more bright next time before you throw your entire chapter under the bus by "boasting" in a way that makes everyone know how bad you are. LOL

Weird that they randomly wouldn't make quota because the invite formulas are set up so that it's pretty much impossible not to get quota if you follow it. That's the whole point. So when I checked out their PC photo, it makes me wonder if they under-invited going into pref on purpose because they were trying to get really hot girls (it worked!) and maybe they thought that taking the random ratchet girls might chase the hot ones away on bid day.

It's because girls they invited to pref didn't list them on their final ranking. By the way, any of the hotter girls (there aren't that many) they got have questionable reps and the other sororities didn't want them just like in the last couple of years. They are the ones who are ruining their rep in a different way rather than the bad rep they used to have for just being awkward and unattractive.

^How you wish that was true. Don't be scared though. As long as you can comfort yourselves by repeating that completely false rumor that AXiD is filling their pledge class with hotter girls with "questionable reps that the other sororities didn't want", people might not even notice that your steadily slipping. Good plan! And then also be sure to tell each other how "real" and "down to earth" you are while you watch them steal all your mixers with their hotties who didn't want you and your randoms.

AXiD has actually made quota for most of the last few years -- their big problem is they can't keep the girls they get.

Just look at the year on the comments. This a year old post bumped up for no real reason by the mom in the other thread.

As long as SDT continues to participate in formal, many girls will be screwed out of finding a sorority home.

It isn't right because panel pushes more girls into their parties by making the top and mid groups cut more. Nothing against the girls in SDT personally, but they need to be a legit group that is about the same size and offers a similar Greek Life experience to other groups before they should get to do formal again. Just isn't right to make them compete when they clearly aren't up for it yet. And the obvious difference only makes girls not want to end up there. I think giving them time to build up their chapter with COB is just the nice thing to do. For everyone.

A lot of PNMs had SDT, AXiD and one other sorority for their pref this year, and they all either suicided the one other sorority they had left or didn't show up for bid day if they got SDT or AXiD.

I don't know about SDT, but I saw the bid day pics and it sure looks like girls showed up for AXiD's bid day! So your suicide or didn't show claim doesn't really hold up.

The numbers speak for themselves. AXiD did not make quota. Quota was 65. AXD only took 52. Doesn't matter if all 52 showed up. They still fell far below quota because girls would rather not be Greek than be an AXiD

One look at their PC and you can tell that isn't the story. You can tell which other Alpha group does that and they aren't one of them. If they did that, it would be obvious from their PC that they just take leftovers but any moron can see that isn't what's going on there. So they have to be under inviting to pref so that girls that end up in their house on Bid Day are girls they actually want out there wearing their letters and not half a PC full of randos that are bringing down their chapter rep all over campus. Ain't so prestigious to "make quota" if it means next year ur just trying to put them all in the kitchen during rush! some of those other groups that are so proud of making quota are gonna have to build a bigger kitchen! Yiiiiiikes!

Facts are facts. Alpha Xi, I realize you have the worst GPA of everyone, but even a moron can see that 52 is 13 less than 65. This means you missed quota by 13. Anyone can see this by counting the new members posing in the photo on their facebook. There's no defending it. That only makes you look dumb. It's the simple truth. YOUR SORORITY DID NOT MAKE QUOTA BY A LONG SHOT! It wasn't because you recruit for selectivity. You recruit for anyone with a pulse who will actually come back to your parties. You are crazy funny if you think your PC is hot. You only got "hot" girls that other houses dropped for other reasons, particularly QR. Dumb dumb Alpha Xi. Go work on your horrible GPA rank instead of coming here all the time and blaming ADPi. I'm not an ADPi by the way, just one of the many who are sick of your lies and stupidity.

If you think people don't notice that you take 65 girls just to say you took 65 girls, you are delusional. But go ahead and go back to sleep. You can phone in your opinions in a few years when you are an alum sitting around wondering what happened to your chapter and why groups like Alpha Xi Delta higher ranked than you!

Stop tryna splain how it works. We get it. The good groups get the awesome girls and the rest get what's left. And the very bottom group didn't make quota but they got some girls too. And next year we'll do it all again and y'all will get on here again and tell all the PNMs to go in with an open mind and all that. And they won't. And repeat. However, there were fewer freshmen at pref because of forcing houses to cut big numbers at first. More ended up with sororities they had cut so they dropped. It isn't a mystery - pretty clear.

This isn't exactly note worthy since they self-limit their selection. Can't say anyone is concerned that AEPhi is losing its appeal to their desired audience.

This thread was bumped from last year by the mom from the other thread talking about her daughters rush. She had to scroll through lots of pages and read lots of opinions to choose to bump this thread.

AEPhi doesn't always make quota. It's not really their goal. They have a small base to recruit from and they pull the highest quality girls they want from there. It's not a big deal. They aren't like SDT and Alpha Xi where PNMs would rather not be Greek than join.

got rid of that reputation a year or two ago.

She should have gone with alpha phi. They have a lot of great girls who could have been in any top tier house except for the fact that they are not from the right zipcode many of the top 6 take girls that they know rather than a more qualified pnm and it ends up being a mistake.
