top tier bid question

When do the top tiers usually stop giving out bids? I've been out of state for a majority of the summer, will there be more opportunities to get a bid when the fall sem starts?

Mainly, or this was how it was about 8 years ago in the big 3 (SAE/FIJI/KA), is that the bids are pretty much handed out in the first week of August.

The top houses now (FIJI/SAE/Sig Ep/Kappa Sig), have given out all of their bids by then. The five-star recruits usually get theirs earlier, so that you can lock them down. Occasionally bids get given out after the beginning of August, but it's rare.
