Republicans in Greek life
by: pnmIs it a bad idea to rush if you’re very leftist, like is everyone in Greek life at ut republican? And can anyone tell me what the most liberal sorority is or at least not openly trump supporters

Higher education is about expanding your world view and learning to get along with a diverse-thinking population and learning from each other. No one should bother with education if they just want to stay sequestered with their lefties or righties and not listen to anything else or anybody else and try to learn something new or see the worth in other people because of differing politics. You can do that just fine staying uneducated and ignorant in you own little narrow-minded bubble. Please stay home.
#2 by: It’s pretty obvious
Most of the ladies in Greek life come from families with resources. Several sororities are all about status, they want everyone to believe they are rich. There are like maybe 9 kids in Greek life that are from the 1% most are just pretending or their parents are. Most college kids don’t vote the way their parents do anyway. Don’t join if it’s an issue for you.

hi! Ik some people might hate on this but tbh I agree on what you’re saying. It was stressful for me too coming from a liberal school. Tbh the “old money” sororities like PKT might be more conservative naturally because of where they’re from. I’m personally surrounded by a pretty liberal group in my chapter. There will be a mix everywhere, there isn’t a “liberal” sorority, but we go to UT so they’re not all mega conservative at least outwardly, from what I’ve gathered this year

I'm not trying to stay in a bubble, most of my friends are republican but not the kind that hate brown people and actively support a semi-dictator! I've just heard that's something to look out for and that some of the sororities are racially discriminatory, and I simply would rather not partake and spend time with people of the sort!
