what was hazing like in the past?
by: MidTierI know hazing still goes on in fratenities now at UT, but does anyone have any stories of what hazing used to be like? It sounds like it used to be a lot more brutal back then. I doubt even the "toughest" pledgeships (Apparently FIJI and ATO have bad hazing) can compete with what it used to be. Anyone have any stories?

Would like to get into my '01 SAE pledgeship, but I can't really say anything. It was hard to sit for 7 months, and I think I could light up a bulb by holding it, very interesting dinners the actives were creative, I haven't put tabasco on anything since pledgeship ended, but that's all I can really give you. The ranch stuff was tradition, and will remain a secret. Parties were the most fun and nerve racking 24 hours of the week. But there was a lot of fun stuff to, they would dress up in gumby costumes, let us get drunk, and we had the task of getting into the movie "The Life of David Gale" filmed on campus, nothing like being picked up by your brothers woken up on the front steps of the tower with a campus cop giving us one chance to get to their car and get home. There were a lot of funny things like that as well.
