giving bids to veterans

So I enlisted right out if highschool in the army. I could've gone to a decent college but didn't trust my academic work ethic to finish school (took part in way too many "extracurriculars") and didn't want to waste a bunch of my parents money/ my savings. I want to go to school and become an officer, and UT is very veteran friendly, y'all got second in the us news rankings of most veteran-friendly schools. I also like y'all's history programs, and I'm stationed at fort hood (currently deployed, however) and visit Austin fairly regularly, I love the area. So that all being said, how comfortable would fraternities be with pledging a 21 year old veteran? I think the brotherhood element would help me transition from the super-masculine combat arms world, and make me feel more comfortable. I also have a bunch of buddies in Greek life in schools around the country and they love it. So my question stands, any advice is welcome. I'm originally from MD (Baltimore suburbs) so I was also wonderingif that would disqualify me from the decent fraternities.
