by: PNMHi, I'm a legacy to a certain house at ut and have tons of connections to it. But after seeing and hearing somethings abt the house and their bad rep idk if I wanna join now. Is there any chance the upcoming class will be different and I may actually enjoy being around my sorority sisters. I already know some girls that planned to rush the same house are having second thoughts too. please give me hope

The only thing I would suggest is to do your research. Talk to older greek girls at UT to get more info about the reputation and issues. You could have an incredible pledge class but keep in mind that the older girls in the house move into leadership positions and run everything. If these girls are the source of the problem and bad rep, they will now be in charge. In general with any sorority, if bad behavior/rep issues is not being addressed and ignored, it will impact everyone including a great new pledge class.

If it smells like a duck and walks like a duck- it’s gonna attract ducks- Look what the Kommittee did to theta’s last pledgeclass and that was at kommittee moms’ encouragement
Maybe you still need your mom to make your decisions tho so a gap year might be better if you can’t trust to think for yourself after hearing the truth from girls within your own decade

Just say a theta contacted you and told you you need to rush your pledgeclass and get commitments before rush starts or you will be left out of “their definition of kool” group.
If you enjoy sluddy mean girls then yes have hope! I’m sure they ignored you in high school but college will be different 🙄
You should want better for yourself than to lower your standards to theirs if you actually have some but sound like a sheep

They can’t because they don’t know each other. Older girls think last class sucks anyway since screwed the pooch with the Kommittee- you know Karen is working double time trying to deny that catastrophe

Let me add that the rankings you see on GR is not usually how the houses are REALLY viewed by actual students/other greeks. The house(s) that don't have the best reps or have a lot of issues, spam GR with these 'rankings' and 'tiers' to camoflauge how they are really viewed. Best to talk with older greek girls at UT in the know.
