Okay let’s get real about ranks
by: RealI know Panhellenic and other people push that rankings don’t matter and that you’ll get the same experience in one sorority as you would in another. The “tier” system doesn’t matter at UT… But let’s be real. Doesn’t this have to affect relations with frats and what type of things you can go to or get invited to? I hate to say this but do girls in lower “tiers” not get treated as well or do they have a different experience as other girls in “desired” houses. How does this work at UT? Someone explain the honest answer. What houses are the ones that are treated different? Are Kappa delta, delta gamma, and AXO girls treated good?

Fiji with Pi Phi
Sig Ep with Kappa
Sae with Theta
KA- Chi O
SigChi - Zeta, AXO
Ksig - Aphi, AXO
ZBT - Aephi
Delt - Tridelt, Zeta, Aphi,
Phi Psi - AXO, DG, KD
Pike - DG, KD, Adpi
Sammy - AXO, DG, Aephi
I’m sure I left some out but this is obvious grouping
Of course some cross over exists and anyone can go to any party if invited or get wristband from member -
And social chairs change every year so if a frat social chair has a sister or girlfriend in a different sorority then that year they might have a mixer with a house they wouldn’t normally mix with
Most everyone can party as much as they want if make friends across houses - some just don’t

I think she’s right - when is a time you saw an axo or dg at fiji or sae? Or a sae lil sis that wasn’t a pi phi or theta? Sig Ep goes little broader but plenty of truth in mixers and a fiji/dg mixer isn’t going to happen so don’t pretend it will- not saying either is bad but it is what it is- Think about it

ranks do exist because not every sorority gets invited to the same events. Ex: fiji hosts pkt only pre-games. But it also depends on your sorority social chairs. If your social chairs dont have connections with guys in other frats or piss off one of the frat social chairs, youre screwed. So tbh worry more about who gets made a social chair in your sorority because they can make or break your pledge class’ rep.

This!!!! i’ve seen my friends in what’s considered a “bottom” tier sorority have group chats with “top” frats because of their social chairs solely.
