Reaching out to girls about rush
by: UT girlI’ve talked to girls out and about over the last few months about rushing that have told me to reach out if I was interested in their sorority. I’m wondering when it would become too late to reach out, and also a bit concerned they may have forgotten, since some of these conversations were from as early as March. Any opinions? Do they say this to everyone / is it a serious offer? Thank you!!

Texas is notorious for dirty rushing. I would say that it’s not too late to reach out but keep in mind that being told to reach out to a sorority in no way guarantees that they’ll keep you past even the first or second rounds of rush. Some houses give out points for reaching out to girls and hosting them for big weekends. Most of my friends and I were dirty rushed by houses other than the ones we ended up at on bid day. But everything happens for a reason and you’ll end up where you’re meant to be
