do you have to have connections to get a bid?

by: greek rank

Im planning on rushing next year, and while I do know a few people in sororities I'm not close with them. I know UT's greek life is very connections-based since a lot of girls in the top houses all went to camp or high school together. How do I impress the houses even if I do not have a bunch of networking

Try to become friends with the people that live in your building it will make a MAJOR impact during rush. You will probably get a bid from a house. Many girls will tell you that it doesn’t matter which house you go and that you will make friends. Although that is true depending on the house you go will depend you social life in college if you are basing it on Greek life. If you get a bottom house you will have really few mixers and not a really big social life with guys. Good sororities get invited to more things such as it is easier getting an OU date as well as other trips such as spring break etc. The house you go really AFECTS your experience if you are a person that likes going out. Try striving for middle tier sororities if you lack connections since they still mix with good frats.

I didn't go to camp - you can still get a top house and go to any frat party as long as know someone in the house - anyone who wants a date to OU can get one as most guys desperate since hard to meet girls when they are pledging so be nice to the guys in your classes

btw its spelled affect - hard to trust advice from someone that can't spell
