in-state rush

How likely is it to get into one of the Big 6? I'm in state, from a wealthy area, go to an SPC private school, and both parents went to UT. However, I don't have many contacts with girls in the chapters except KD and my mom was a GDI. Do I have a chance?

How is it even possible that you have no contacts in the Big 6 if all of that other background stuff is true? Only KD? really? Did you live in a basement for years with no social life? If you weren't able to make those connections for years, no one is going to know you or care enough to want you in the highly competitive houses. Sorry but the truth hurts.

Because my school gets screwed with the 7% thing so a lot of the people who get in end up at Ivies and therefore I dont know a whole ton of people at UT. Oh and I do have a pretty great social life just like I said the whole 7% thing

You don't know anyone that didn't go to your school from your "wealthy area?" Like others said, your chances are just about zero. You should focus on KD and the other mid to lower tier because the Big Six is out of your reach if you don't know anyone or you're not insanely pretty.
