rushing when i'm an african american girl?

Hi, I was wondering what rush would be like for an african american girl? I have letters of recommendations but i'm not a legacy. I also know it's competitive here but I am very open minded.

UT's black population is less than 3%. For that to change, even in the future, is not likely. The 20% UT Greek will always be and always will be what it is. It is just like Greek position. It will never change. It is what it is. Be opened minded to that and don't let that control your decision to rush. If a sorority likes you, embrace it if not UT has a lot to offer beyond Greek. Have courage to move past the few that will always carry around their entitlement card.

Look around people. UT Greek is diversified But the black population will never be a huge %. So you just don't see a whole lot of them to pick from.
