How do girls get a snap bid when they were cut?

Can someone please explain how my roommate received a Bid from Kappa when she was cut from Kappa on the second day.
She also didn’t go to Pref night bc she didn’t get her top choices.

sororities are supposed to meet a quota of bids. based on how X sorority rates PNMs and how PNMs rank X sorority, the X sorority’s bid list can be below quota which is not good for X sorority. so X sorority is allowed to snap bid any PNM that was voted on during recruitment, even if they were dropped earlier on in recruitment. X sorority snap bids PNMs until they meet their quota, which is set by Panhellenic and is the same for all sororities. (: PNMs are eligible for snap bidding as long as they didn’t sign an MRABA which usually happens after pref rankings are submitted.

Actually Not just kappa- whoever is having the best rush is forced to cut too hard and has to cut lots of girls they would love to keep. Traditionally Kappa, Theta, and Chi O in particular have very few girls cut them so they are forced to cut hard. Usually ends up making someone have to do a couple of snap bids. Some years it is just kept very quiet. Just way the system works.

Houses can bid however many they want- usually most to take a lot but not necessary
And by no means do all houses snap- insecure girls like to throw that term around but they should look at their glass house first
