Sorority Rankings & Stereotypes

Before I begin, I will preface with this is my personal view as someone who went through Rush last year and have friends in most of the sororities.

Top 3 (historically this was PKT from the Big Six article written 50ish years ago; however, lately Theta is having a repetition issue — which has been heavily emphasized on recent posts so I won’t divulge too much into it & won’t be ranking theta on this list)

Let’s begin:

Top 2: Mostly from affluent city neighborhoods.

Kappa - more “down to earth” old money vibes. Don’t automatically strike you as “top” because they aren’t as pretentious. Nice house on campus as opposed to
Wampus. Good amount of YL girls. Close with Fiji & SAE.

Pi Phi - Mix of Theta and Kappa girls. Pom girls and your typical prom Queen/popular looks-obsessed vibes. Very cliquey. Had the lowest amount of girls “run home” last august and had to give snap bids. Close with Fiji & SAE.

Next 3:

Chi O - Mostly conservative (in mannerisms) and YL girls. Nickname “Christian Org”. Some party girls — mostly their recruitment team. Are nice, but have that “country club” air to them that keeps outsiders at arms length whether intentional or innate. Close with SigEp and BYX.

Zeta - Mostly cheer and drill team girls. Differ from pi phi in that zetas are more from suburbs while pi phis are from the cities (think Highland Park). Dubbed the “prettiest” sorority. Can come off as shallow and fake because they’re looks focused. Close with SigEp and KSig.

Tri Delta - Mix of Zeta and Chi O. Some YL girls.

Next 2: Breaking into the Big Six since Theta has moved down.

APhi - Party girls. Pretty and moving up the ranks in the past decade. House is also on campus (next to Kappa).

AXO - Also party girls. Politically involved and have a few YouTubers. Very close to the frat SigChi. Nice & outgoing but can be a little flakey.

Next 4:

DG - Don’t know much about them, but seem fun.

ADPi - Nice and smart girls. Very sisterhood focused & have unique date events (my friend in this sorority took me to an event they had at Six Flags in San Antonio). Good amount of YL girls.

KD - Sweet and diverse. Some YL girls. Close with Pike.

AXID - Cliquey. Lots of transfers. Mostly nice, sweet girls looking for a sisterhood but not into the “sorority” thing. Most of the officers are all for the same “group”.
