by virtue of even getting into Texas you will be fine and gpa doesn't matter as much as an easier school to get into

I don't know of anyone who got into UT in the last few years with GPA in the 2's. Maybe 3.2+ but 2's? No way.

The average GPA for getting accepted is 3.83. As competitive as rush is with the majority of girls 3.5-4.0, I think most houses consider potential "grade risk" issue below 3.2.
