Fiji and SAE's dues!!!!?!?!?
by: DudeWhy in the world are Fiji and SAE's dues above 6 grand a semester? I understand Fiji partially since they have the biggest mansion in Austin. But SAE? $9k a semester? That's SMU's yearly tuition after being an active for 8 semesters. Even still, most fraternities in the SEC with gigantic mansions don't have dues that expensive (minus FSU and Alabama). Someone explain the context to me because I'm genuinely curious. How are FIJI and SAE so expensive? I give it 10 years before SigEp becomes just as popular as those two considering Fiji, SAE, and SigEp are composed of the same type of kids. SigEp is just more affordable with $3k a semester.

SAEs have to pay more to cover the extra expense of thetas living with them since they can’t find their own beds

The Chapter dues paying members get hosed. 😯
Chapter members realize this by their second semester Sophomore year. By then, they run for & win a Chapter officer position or become a ghost.

Unaudited million dollar budgets managed by a 19-22 year old student Chapter treasurer. 👿
A 25-30% petty cash allocation is ripe for Chapter Officer skimming. 😮
No oversight except for an unaudited annual balance sheet sent to their National. Most Chapter Actives are being financially hosed by their Officers. 😡
