ranking big six explained

Ranking is relative, thats why these ranking posts are all over the place. Basically, it depends on what type of girl you prefer, and obviously not all girls in one sorority are the same. Why are sororities ranked? Based on character, exclusivity, and loosely based on looks although money also a part.
Big Six-term taken from an article in the 80s with top houses which labeled PKT so in that order it's
1.Pi Phi
2.Kappa
3.Theta
Why? These are the oldest more exclusive houses that have lots of money and a good amount of natural beauties. Pi Phi is ranked first because these girls are by far the classiest, nicest, funniest, down to earth girls - however they are the most exclusive and the hardest to get a bid from and take quality reputations over quantity as some of the others do.
4.Zeta
5.Chi O
6. Tri Delta
Why? These houses are less exclusive with girls from small towns and suburbia (even though they do snag a few inner city girls), but they are social and worth your time. Current campus talk is that Zeta is the new Theta. Thetas have had some real quality control issues that have tarnished their reputation. You can figure out what that means. Zeta has some talented and beautiful girls and deserves the move up. Chi Omega has some pretty girls and known to focus on academics. Tri Delta is fifth because they are fun and active on campus

No, Pi Phi is not the most exclusive of those three and honestly hasn’t been in years. However, they all have a different vibe. IMO Pi Phi is below Kappa and Theta too.

You clearly got your feelings hurt when didn’t get those bids but hope you can find some joy where you landed because sounding bitter - we have plenty of good houses - don’t waste your time making up lies to make yourself feel better - just makes you look sad and jealous

That’s funny- A theta referencing Blow or Blow?!! Did the SMU thetas transfer to UT after getting kicked off campus? Pretty funny trying to through your smoke our way when everyone knows about the thetas - keep up that dirty rush cats - get all the mid girls you can!

Take the GR scores of the individual sororities and then reverse order them. Generally speaking, the higher the score, the lower ranked the sorority actually is. The reason? People aren't as eager to take shots at you when you're at the bottom. The top sororities usually have the lowest GR scores because everyone is trying to bring them down.

The idea of the rankings is to provide insights and opinions and for fun. Most do not use the ranking to take shots at other houses but that’s not always the case. Some houses get regular posts (mid tier in particular) and top 3-6 mostly don’t care or pay attention until they have garnered enough bottom tier rankings to fill a page or two and then they shoot back with a dozen posts to boost score and push down the bottom tier comments. the actual reliable rankings are found in the discussion board.. generally speaking those who post consistently negative rankings about the top three likely are in the 4-6 srats. Mid tier 7/8/9 have no dog in that fight but we’re amused nonetheless

When a house has as bad a reputation as theta does now it tries to pull up older messages and bury the recent posts so you don't see the current realities of their status - they can't stand have fallen out of top 3 - notice how bad it will get in August during rush week

people use the sorority pages to give specifics - the discussion page is where moms and the theta media team hang out and troll to make their house look better than it is because they don't want to believe their little precious girl could possibly be in a crappy house with a bad rep
