Should I drop and rerush
by: pc22svtI got a bid for a house that I don’t want. If I drop now and rerush next year, does it affect my chances of getting a bid next year?

Wherever you joined my best advice is to find your people this week this month this semester. In chapters that have something like 300 members you can find them. But you need to look. Find the artsy the dancers the introverts the studiers the swimmers the cooks the partiers the motherers the leaders and find you. You can both fit in and belong. You can fit in to your sorority and also belong to your friend group. And still appreciate the choice you made to join.

Why would you want to go to a house that didn’t want you? Are you that desperate?

They are America's rarest most endangered human species.
America's smallest minority group. 😑
PWGs are @ 1 in 15 in this Spring's sorority PCs.
It was 1 in 3 ten years ago.
It is speciesism, NOT racism.
Take many pictures of them, so we can remember what they looked like... 🦄

At this point you might as well give the sorority you pledged a chance up till right before initiation. And then if you still don’t like it you can drop. And no it won’t affect your chances with other sororities next year especially if the sororities you want don’t really associate with the sorority you got this year.

I agree with #1 every sorority has the same ppl/ groups. The only difference is where the Major the members are from.
I lived in Hardin House, got a bid from a Top house. Many girls in HH dropped before pref night bc they were cut from PKT. Some received bids to sororities NOT in the big 6 and dropped.
I can honestly say all those girls that dropped all rushed Soph year and ALL got PKT, ZTA and Chi O houses.
It’s much easier to rush as a sophomore. All sororities are required to take a certain # of sophomores.
If there’s a house u really want to be apart of. Get to know and become friends with them. Go with them to late nights the frats have with their pledge class. Next year when you rush, u have over 20-30 girls pulling for u in the house.
