sae pledging lots of acc guys

I don't get how SAE can be considered top tier when they pledged 22 ACC guys in the Fall. I understand 2 or 3 or 4 but 22?!?! Why would they take that many when there are so many great guys that actually go to UT?

I thought the number seemed high, but I personally know 7 or 8 of them that go to ACC.

Getting a bid from SAE is more about where you come from and who your family and their connections are than it is about which college you go to. There are a lot of kids who are either SAE legacies or from the right high school/neighborhood that didn't quite get into UT but still want to be in SAE, so they go to ACC and pledge with the hope that they'll transfer in eventually.

I can understand a few here and there but when they pledge that many ACC guys that says something.
